Our Mission

"Making disciples with a passion for God and his purpose for life!"
We embrace our commission with Jesus Christ. He said, "Go and make disciples of all nations." (Matthew 28:18) This is not an option, but our opportunity to serve God with our lives.
Our passion
That one word, passion, describes Jesus’ love for God. We want to love God with the same kind of passion that Jesus demonstrated to us while he walked on the earth. Someone once asked Jesus a great question. "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" Jesus gave him a great answer.
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31)
That same word, passion, describes God’s love for people. One of Jesus’ closest friends, John, wrote:
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:10-11)
God's purposes
We believe God's purpose for every believer is to:

Reconciliation

Chi Alpha takes its name from the first letters of the Greek term, christou apostoloi, which literally means, “Christ’s sent ones.” We find this term in Paul’s writings: “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20) Our Christian fellowship serves the students on this campus as ambassadors for Christ.
